[ None of this is familiar. One blink to another and somehow he finds himself in what appears to be...a bathhouse? Zixhuan shakes out his sleeves with a frown, looking around for the familiar. Somehow his robes are still mended, no sign of blood or - 'breathe'. A strange voice whispers in his mind, and he does.

Except his gaze falls on a young man wearing Jin sect robes and - no. Not possible. He strides over, frown deepening despite the confusion threatening to drag him down. ]

Who are you to carry that sword?

[ That sword, who has a twin attached to his own belt. ]

[ He didn't see anyone at first. When he continued to fumble around to gain his bearing in the slightly damp and dimly lit place, he missed the presence of another person within the vicinity.

The okami nudged him to be more attentive and Jin Ling stopped wringing the water from his robes. He turned directly towards the voice and was about say something but his voice was caught in his throat. ]

[ He immediately stepped back. Did that illusion just follow him here too? Could it do that? Was he hallucinating again like back on the fields?! ]

[ not real. He couldn't finished his sentence. He saw the identical sword, the facial features in the dim lit space with his youkai's senses enhancing his vision and clarity.

Father. This was too much. The okami was telling him to calm down. How could he though? He looked like he was seeing a ghost. His expression was more than enough to give that away. ]

This isn't...real. It can't be real.

[ Mannerless child! Who seems familiar - no, it's impossible. He's dreaming, certainly. He should be dead - but he must be dreaming. Perhaps Wei Wuxian had managed to...

No. He wrenches his attention back to the child, who knows what is happening. He...shouldn't be able to see quite so clearly, a part of him recognizes. Yet he can tell there's no color in the boy's face, as if he is seeing a ghost - the color, and the rather odd expression.

Zixuan barely holds back a scoff, eyes not quite rolling as he lifts his chin just a little, enough for effect. ]

Start making sense.

[ Because his budding thought can't possibly be right. ]

[ He's talking to you. Maybe you should reconsider the hallucination thought?

The okami replied in his head. Of course, nothing is heard outwardly. The teen takes a shaky breath. He kept his distance still, lest the image he was seeing was some sort of fabrication that would trap him the way it had done with his uncle.

He wasn't sure what would happen if he communicated with him, but there's something different from the behavior. It wasn't eerie, and there weren't any immediate feelings of danger. He didn't want to think about it but after what happened with his uncle, he couldn't rule out the fact. Though, whether was seeing things or not, he'd have to hurry up and figure it out. Slowly, he spoke-- albeit it's shaky. He'd start with that before revealing anymore details ]

Do you have any idea where you are or what is inside of you?

[ Listen to the cub. The strange voice urges again, nudging at him. He has enough presence of mind not to shake his head, recognizing that would do no good and might make him look...unhinged. Which he refuses to do.

Instead, Zixuan glances around, one brow raised as if to say that answer is obvious. But as for what's inside him...? That has him pause long enough to think. ]

If you are a member of my sect, then I am sure you can do better.

[ It was very difficult to talk with Jin Zixuan at the moment. Not because, he was scared but because he never had the opportunity to. He never even remember much of his father's appearance but what he had seen from Jin Guangyao's fabricated world, he knew right away.

How could he not recognize his own father? It was probably hard for his father to even know who he was. After all, he had passed when Jin Ling was only one month old. Despite, that he couldn't control the emotions he was feeling. He didn't even know how to tell him. ]

I'm not just a member of your sect!

[ He almost snaps but stopped himself. These events were making him feel unhinged as well. Emotional build up over time wasn't good for him and he didn't really have an outlet. He didn't even have time to process what happened before dealing with this. Whether he found this incredulous or not, it wasn't like Jin Ling was going to be gentle after being brushed off like that.

Another shaky response but his tone as even, as he held back a lot of his own emotional whiplash. ]

Father. Y-You are my father, and I-I'm your son. You've been dead for over fifteen years! I'm sure you noticed that this place isn't normal.

[ It's always difficult to talk to Jin Zixuan. Just ask...anyone.

The short answer has inflections he's used himself, and that's just rude. He starts to draw himself up to dismiss this cub as a pretender...when one word manages to take all wind from his sails, leaving his eyes wide and mouth gaping, one step forward before he stops.

Staring. Disbelieving and yet...

His mouth snaps closed and he frowns before stalking a few steps closer. Dead for over fifteen years. Well, that would...fit the age of the cub- boy. And he knows he should be dead. ]

...How...do you know me? Did your mother have portraits done? How is she?

[ Stupid. But he's babbling, questions pouring out, asking about Yanli with each step, but also... ]

[ He gets a star for effort right? ]

[ Jin Ling isn't much better to talk to, honestly. Clearly, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

Despite, his father's absence from his life, Jin Ling somehow ended up being very similar to him in strange ways. He locks eyes with Jin Zixuan for a moment. Clear, golden hazel hues stare right back at him. Originally, Jin Ling had no intention of talking to him in such a crude manner, but can anyone blame him?

He waits a few seconds as the other tries to recollect himself. Jin Ling is having a difficult time not bursting into tears, because he understands that if his uncle can be brought here alive, so can his father and certainly his mother. Jin Ling instinctively takes another step back . Jin Zixuan is too close and he can distinctively make out the other's features that significantly resembled his. Even Suihua at his waist is enough enough indication that his son had intellectually deducted the situation. ]

I-I

[ He can't really say it because it's complicated. It's too much information to give to someone who is supposed to be dead but isn't and now that person is ware that the boy in front of him is his child. Of course, he's going to ask. At the very least, he doesn't feel hurt that he isn't recognized. His father figured it out right away after his outburst. ]

[ dead too. He swallowed dryly as Jin Zixuan got closer. ]

[ He closed his mouth tightly and then is completely shocked by the next set of words. Did he just say---? He didn't know what to do with that. It really-- all of this was too much. He isn't good at holding back his emotions. He can already feel the water forming at the corner of his eyes. He knows he can't hold it back. How could he not! His father is alive and standing in front of him and asking him about his mother! Then he said he looks strong. It meant he worked hard it showed.

It's stupid and simple but it really made the pain in his chest unbearable. ]
